Hi everyone!

As you’re probably aware of by now, AskAGleek will unfortunately be taking a summer hiatus. Since we are a canon roleplay, it’s difficult for us to last through a four month break when there were so many unanswered questions at the end of the finale.

We will start back up in September though, and I will definitely be coming back (unless something crazy happens…  ummm unlikely!)

Our lovely Jeff and Sebastian have started a new (not canon) RP, Ask the Warblers, which will start up once our hiatus begins on Saturday 5/26. It should be pretty fantastic and there are still some characters open there, so please check that out! I will be participating playing Blaine.

It’s time for an update on the summer hiatus.

We’ve decided that AskaGleek will be going on hiatus beginning Saturday, May 26th, 2012. I believe a couple of our members have decided to keep their accounts active and return under a new account in September, while some have decided to start a summer roleplay to occupy their time until the hiatus ends. 

During the hiatus, AskaGleek will not be accepting any new members and those whose accounts go inactive for the summer will not be kicked out due to inactivity. The main account will be on hold for the length of the hiatus and will return come season four. A week or two before season four begins, I will message everyone’s account from this one, the AskaGleek main, and those of you who respond by the end of the first episode are more than welcome to return. Members who do not respond will be replaced. 

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed and been a part of this roleplay for the past months. We look forward to seeing you again in September!

Awww, thanks Coach! I know we didn’t talk much, but I’m gonna miss everybody at McKinley.

You’ll be missed, Mercedes! I do wish we would have gotten to know each other a bit better but you really really helped me out here in the last month. It means more to me than you’d ever know, punkin. Me and Ms. Pillsbury were just talkin’ today about how we can’t wait to buy your records!

I have a little bit of bittersweet news for our members and followers.

This roleplay will be going on a summer hiatus for the months prior to the start of season four. We are not closing or shutting down in any sense of the word, no one is required to delete their accounts or find a new roleplay if they’re willing to wait the four months until September. The spring hiatus (which is only seven weeks in comparison to four whole months) was difficult enough for us to get through with little to no direction and a major cliffhanger, but the problem now is that many of the characters have little to nothing to work with as far as summer plans go. There isn’t enough to go off to keep the roleplay truly active.

My fellow roleplayers: you are all more than welcome to take your account to another roleplay that will continue throughout the summer if you’d prefer it but, as I believe you’ve all seen, the majority of us have decided carrying on through the summer would be too difficult with absolutely no direction. The spring hiatus was difficult enough and took a huge toll on activity around askagleek and I truly believe it would be simpler to put the whole group on hiatus until season four.

A week before season four begins, I will message each of your roleplay accounts and if you respond, you’re welcome back with open arms. If you fail to respond or respond but would prefer to not to be part of the roleplay anymore (whether you’ve joined another or have chosen to continue throughout the summer on your own), we’ll reopen your character.

More information on the specific date will be posted as soon as our roleplayers decide on a date.
